Because of their 6 year gap in age, Jacob and James don’t often play together very well. Watching them spend time together is like watching a silent chaotic movie. Jacob prefers spending time with Daddy to playing with James. And James would prefer cuddling with Mommy to wrestling with Jacob. However, there is a silver lining in that for all of us.

James is perpetually trying to catch up with Jacob. We think he will always feel older than his age and enjoys conquering challenges. When being with James, Jacob gets to experience a second toddlerhood. As a result, Jacob will probably feel younger than his age and learns to be protective of younger ones. For Mommy and Daddy, being with our boys helps us relive our childhood fun.
