Jacob Turned 8! How The Time Flies!

Jacob turned 8 this March 3rd, and his parents couldn’t be happier to see their first son growing up. He still eats slowly and has taken to complaining a lot lately, but he is surely growing up. What a joy to celebrate Jacob’s birthday before Daddy left for St. Louis and later with Grammie and Leon.

Jacob is shy and sensitive, a very sweet child to us and a loving big bro to James. For having improved on his behavior since Christmas, Mommy and Daddy gave him a Genesis video game that he was thrilled to have. The morning of Jacob’s party, we all went to church. For the party, we ate popcorn and pizza while opening Auntie Karen’s presents sent from Kansas. Then everyone drove Daddy to the airport.

For his second celebration, we had pies with Grammie and Leon while admiring the presents Jacob received from Grammie. True to form, Grammie brought over many presents and delighted Jacob and James a great deal.
