Us In and Around Aunt Karen’s House

We are in Topeka, Kansas to visit our family and it has been swell. Jacob and James have fun with their Auntie Karen and Grandpops everyday.

David and I enjoy drinking our morning drinks and reading the Topeka paper on Aunt Karen’s porch. This morning when I was trimming some wild grass, the boys and their Daddy were having lots of fun playing hide-and-seek outside the house and on the grass.

Aunt Karen’s house has been our home away from home for the past 13 years now. I love smelling the familiar smells in the house every time we stay here. The rooms have been updated and redecorated over time, but the smells remain the same. We love both that stable aspect of the house and its new updates.

About David and Lam

A smitten couple and loving parents in our early 40s. We have lived in 3 different countries together. We dream of living in a fourth country together after our children grow up. We love long walks in the woods, climbing mountains, boating, traveling, reading, and being together. Both David and Lam are old souls who love quietness and meaningful conversations in which we ponder the truth and mysteries of life as well as discuss philosophical and ethical matters. We especially like to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life.
