Happy 16th Anniversary

For our 16th anniversary, David took the day off and we went to Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest for a long walk together before eating lunch at a Thai restaurant in Louisville. Below are the sceneries from our walk followed my anniversary tribute.

My anniversary tribute to David:

Happy Anniversary to him who has stayed true to his wedding vows “to love, honor, and obey” (and occasionally to annoy) made 16 years ago!

Our wedding day was such a fine, memorable day! There was at first a calming light rain, and then the sun came out shining brilliantly. The temperature was perfect: neither too hot nor too cold. There was peace and good will to all who attended the ceremony and reception afterwards. If I had musical talent, the like of Bono or Elton John, I would write a song about our wedding day titled “Beautiful Sunday.”

Thank you, David, for your kindness, humor, moral courage and especially your support. We are much older and fatter than when we first got married, but somehow you have made it all so much better since.

I enjoy talking to you about anything. You are the whole package!

About David and Lam

A smitten couple and loving parents in our early 40s. We have lived in 3 different countries together. We dream of living in a fourth country together after our children grow up. We love long walks in the woods, climbing mountains, boating, traveling, reading, and being together. Both David and Lam are old souls who love quietness and meaningful conversations in which we ponder the truth and mysteries of life as well as discuss philosophical and ethical matters. We especially like to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life.
