Lost River Cave in Bowling Green

We took a boat tour in the Lost River Cave before dropping Jacob off at Gasper River Catholic Youth camp near there where he will be staying until Friday.

There were 40 people in our group. The tour guide told us a brief history of the cave dating all the way back to the Civil War era. There used to be a night club at the cave mouth. Today the cave mouth functions as a wedding and event venue. We saw the decoration and setup for a wedding when we entered the cave to get on our boat.

We visited a butterfly house after the boat tour. When we were there, a butterfly landed on my hat and stayed there for a while.

About David and Lam

A smitten couple and loving parents in our early 40s. We have lived in 3 different countries together. We dream of living in a fourth country together after our children grow up. We love long walks in the woods, climbing mountains, boating, traveling, reading, and being together. Both David and Lam are old souls who love quietness and meaningful conversations in which we ponder the truth and mysteries of life as well as discuss philosophical and ethical matters. We especially like to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life.
