This year David and I returned to the Trace-Pitman Greenway for our almost daily walk after two years of trying out the walking track at the upper Miller Park. We stopped going to the Greenway during the pandemic because we kept running into people we know and had to stop and chat. The Greenway sometimes feels like a community center in Campbellsville as many people in town use it. Unfortunately, many people don’t use it responsibly. One example of such misuse is that many dog walkers wouldn’t pick up after their dogs while walking there. The increasing amount of dog feces and trash during the pandemic was another reason we stopped enjoying our daily walk at the Greenway.
In the summertime, we will go back to the walking track for our daily walk since it is perched on a hill and feels less humid. But for now, we are enjoying seeing the meandering path and the clean, clear, limey green water at the creek at the Greenway almost on a daily basis. The creek has especially been happy and gushing lately owing to the regular rainfall we have been having in Campbellsville.
Happy Wednesday to everyone!
