Christmas Music

Last Saturday, we went to see an international choir and orchestra play a number of different Christmas tunes. Here we are before the event (in the third-row seats Bi was smart enough to encourage us to snag):

Dad’s too fat to fit in the frame

The concert took place at St. Peter’s Covenant in District 1. The grounds of the church were a lovely respite from the hum of motorbikes, horns and other metallic clatter we’re accustomed to in District 1 and most else of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City as everyone here calls it).

Here’s a shot Jacob took of the choir and orchestra and a link below to a recording of the concert itself – the horns and winds got Jacob’s attention particularly:

‘Gloria’ by Handel

Overall, a great night. – Dave

About David and Lam

A smitten couple and loving parents in our early 40s. We have lived in 3 different countries together. We dream of living in a fourth country together after our children grow up. We love long walks in the woods, climbing mountains, boating, traveling, reading, and being together. Both David and Lam are old souls who love quietness and meaningful conversations in which we ponder the truth and mysteries of life as well as discuss philosophical and ethical matters. We especially like to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life.
