Jacob at school

Suited up in his Canadian wear and waiting for the school bus

So, Jacob’s already started at his new school – the Canadian International School. He has to catch the bus at 7:30 each morning, so it’s a bit of a chore getting him up at 6:30, changed and fed in time to catch it.

So far he seems to like it there. We’ve met his teacher, Ms. Megan, and she seems really enthusiastic and sensible. Jacob will have a structured timetable of literacey, numeracy, science and P.E., and he will also have time each day to choose from a range of activities.

The chariot awaits

Below is his first library book ever. He’s quite into dinosaurs, so we weren’t surprised when he brought this book home. He’ll choose one book each week from the library as will all the students in his class.

My first thought about the title - 'How does anyone know what a dinosaur felt like?'

He has his Christmas performance this week and we’ll post video from that here as well.

About David and Lam

A smitten couple and loving parents in our early 40s. We have lived in 3 different countries together. We dream of living in a fourth country together after our children grow up. We love long walks in the woods, climbing mountains, boating, traveling, reading, and being together. Both David and Lam are old souls who love quietness and meaningful conversations in which we ponder the truth and mysteries of life as well as discuss philosophical and ethical matters. We especially like to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life.
