Our cooking

Roast pork with yellow zucchini, red pepper, asparagus and onion (Before).

Here’s a photo collection of dishes we’ve made recently. Fresh veggies, meats, homemade mashed potatoes – and we all had a hand in putting it together.

Funnilly enough, it tastes good! And, it’s pretty cheap. We’re still mastering cooking veggies to the right tenderness and our pie crust left something to be desired, but it sure beats fried chicken fingers or salty soup (which aren’t hard to find – almost anywhere in the world).

Check it out!

And after!

Bi’s roast beef with potatoes, carrots and onions. Downhome good!

And up close – even better, right?

Bi’s roasted chicken with onions and carrots. A bit of roasted garlic and homemade bread in the foreground.

My attempt at bread – Amish white bread. A bit sweet, but a good crust on top and seems to go with just about any dish.

Jacob with the garlic mashed potatoes he made. And, with only just a little help from Mom and Dad!

Bi’s meatloaf and Jacob’s mashed potatoes with some sweet corn.

Bi, Jacob and the One in The Oven — about to put this pie in the oven. We all chipped in to make this apple pie.

And here’s the pie finished! It tasted pretty good – especially following the homemade meatloaf and mashed potatoes we had that night. We at the pie for another three days it was so good.

About David and Lam

A smitten couple and loving parents in our early 40s. We have lived in 3 different countries together. We dream of living in a fourth country together after our children grow up. We love long walks in the woods, climbing mountains, boating, traveling, reading, and being together. Both David and Lam are old souls who love quietness and meaningful conversations in which we ponder the truth and mysteries of life as well as discuss philosophical and ethical matters. We especially like to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life.
