Jacob has had a really fun summer. So fun that he does not want to go back to school. But he knows he ought to.
He started off the summer by going swimming often with Daddy. When Auntie Karen visited, he got to go swimming with her. Grammie took him to see How to Train Your Dragon 2. Daddy took him to see the Lego Story, a wildly creative movie according to Jacob.
All through summer, Jacob has got to spend fun time at home eating lots of snack food; playing with James; playing with his video games; watching Tin Tin, Smurf and Asterix cartoons; and reading interesting library books. He has read quite a few Star War comic books and science books about machines, dinosaurs and fossils. He recently read a couple of books about how things are made or how almost all things are first invented. He seems to be interested in science and engineering.
At home, Jacob and James enjoy watching Barney shows together in the mornings. They like playing together on the grass and having picnic lunches or dinners with us. They like collecting sticks on our walks around the dog park and enjoy climbing together at the playground.
For fun away from home, he has gone on many fishing trips, state park trips and to Cincinnati. Jacob likes big cities, namely Saigon, Singapore and Seattle. While his parents are quite content with Lexington, Jacob got excited about the big buildings in downtown Cincy. He likes seeing many people and tall buildings. He is truly a big city boy.
Below is an audio clip of Jacob singing a funny make-up song to help cheer James up. We all had a good laugh about that silly song in the car. Following the audio clip are a picture of Jacob with Abraham Lincoln in downtown Cincinnati and the big buildings Jacob likes there.
All in all, a fantastic summer for Jacob!
