James Turned 2!

James Edward turned 2 on August 19th this year. Because they share the same birthday, his great-uncle Hoang in Vietnam turned 49.

Even though it was James’ birthday, life and its busy-ness didn’t pause for his parents. We ended up having a really simple but joyous celebration among us four at home. James received a pair of new squeaky shoes from Daddy and a Playmobil pickup truck with crane from Mommy. We think James enjoyed his modest birthday party.

Our home was softly lit in the evening and consequently the two pictures are not very clear. James was a little shy when the attention focused on him during the birthday song. He was super cute about it!

For his birthday, Grammie gave James a big dump truck and two giant tubs of bubbles. The boys have been having fun playing bubbles.

This time when both boys are small and at home with us is so super sweet! These videos and blog posts help us not to take for granted the bliss of all of us being together both at home and on trips.
