Moving Day and Some Preliminary Yard Work

We recently moved to Campbellsville, KY to work at the established Edward Jones branch of Mr. Larry Bowen, one of David’s favorite career coaches and personalities.

Jacob is going to Taylor County Elementary School, the largest elementary school in Kentucky. Our friend Shea Poff teaches right across the hall from Jacob’s class. James is hoping to start preschool there. The sooner the better for Mommy of course.

We love our peaceful neighborhood full of older retired people who focus on gardening and landscaping. The pace of life here is to our liking, slower and more relaxing. David loves having almost no traffic to deal with. And we enjoy Larry, a true friend with an easy, helpful, humble character!

We were thrilled to attend a University of Campbellsville football game last week. Their marching band was definitely impressive to me.

Three words to capture the whole event: Exhaustion, Exhaustion, and Exhaustion! This is our 15th move together since we were engaged. Are we tired of moving? Yes and No. We love throwing away unnecessary things we always discover while packing. Plus I believe our true home is where the hearts are — in each other.

About David and Lam

A smitten couple and loving parents in our early 40s. We have lived in 3 different countries together. We dream of living in a fourth country together after our children grow up. We love long walks in the woods, climbing mountains, boating, traveling, reading, and being together. Both David and Lam are old souls who love quietness and meaningful conversations in which we ponder the truth and mysteries of life as well as discuss philosophical and ethical matters. We especially like to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life.
