James’ first-ever track meet

Campbellsville Independent Schools met Taylor County Schools for a friendly track competition. James ran for Campbellsville Independent Schools in two events: boys’ 100-meter and boys’ relay. This event took place at the Taylor County track field which is right across the street from David’s office. We were all there to support James. I took Jacob and James there around 4:45pm, and David got there around 5:45pm after he finished his workday. We were there until 8 pm, but all the activities didn’t finish until 8:30pm.

James' first track meet

In James’ 100-meter group, there were three boys and the runner from Taylor County (in red uniform) is in 6th grade.

Today has been a gorgeous Spring day here. So many birds have been visiting our front-yard birdfeeders all morning. We have spotted cardinals, chickadees, purple finches, house wrens and titmouse birds among some others. Happy Spring everyone!

About David and Lam

A smitten couple and loving parents in our early 40s. We have lived in 3 different countries together. We dream of living in a fourth country together after our children grow up. We love long walks in the woods, climbing mountains, boating, traveling, reading, and being together. Both David and Lam are old souls who love quietness and meaningful conversations in which we ponder the truth and mysteries of life as well as discuss philosophical and ethical matters. We especially like to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life.
